About Jamil Geor
Jamil Geor is an Auckland-based tech professional who enjoys helping enable businesses and organizations to meet their strategic objectives by building technology platforms and software solutions.
In 1999, Jamil Geor began building the foundation of his career as an Analyst Programmer at AA Insurance Ltd., where his responsibilities included overseeing the development of the company’s intranet and IT resource management systems as well as providing data analysis services.
After three years with the company, Jamil left to run Cereteq Ltd., a small startup he co-created with a business partner. Focusing on business improvement, business excellence, and human resources, they offered data analysis tools for large and small enterprises.
Jamil joined the team at Deep Animation and Go Virtual Medical in 2005, where he worked as a Lead Developer, designing most of the project’s platform code, mentoring other developers, and assisting in developing content. From there, he joined Ogilvy NZ Limited as a Senior Developer. In this role, Jamil Geor’s responsibilities included collaborating with clients and Ogilvy Interactive producers to develop advertising and marketing solutions that were dynamic and interactive.
From Ogilvy, Jamil Geor joined SIMTICS Ltd. as a Principal Architect, and he stayed in this role for two years before he started his consulting practice. 2012 was the year that Jamil Geor founded Pattern Ltd. a software development and technology consulting firm.
Due to his professional expertise working in the technology industry, Jamil Geor has earned recognition for his skills in areas like web and mobile application development as well as having more than a decade of experience in building eLearning platforms. Jamil attended the Auckland University of Technology, where he studied software development.
